Blackdot Solutions today announced the integration of their online investigations software Videris with Relativity, kCura’s e-discovery software that helps organisations worldwide manage and analyse large volumes of unstructured data.

Whether it’s litigation, a government request, or an internal investigation, Relativity provides organisations with a complete set of flexible tools to tackle their unique challenges through every phase of a project. As a platform, Relativity allows developer partners like Blackdot Solutions to design, build, and integrate applications that extend its functionality.

Videris enables users to more efficiently collect, analyse and visualise unstructured data available on the Internet—including global corporate records and social media networks—in a single platform, alongside internal evidence. The integration with Relativity allows Videris users to pull data from Relativity into the Videris platform and compare entities and records in their Relativity database with information pulled from online sources. Analysts and investigators can leverage both tools together to discover the truth faster by analyzing e-discovery databases alongside Internet data.

For example, a corporation conducting an investigation that involves public entities can now more easily compare publicly available information about a company or individual – for instance, on social media – with internal emails involving the same subject.

“We are delighted to have entered into a partnership with Relativity, a leading e-discovery platform,” said Adam de Courcy Ling, chairman of Blackdot Solutions. “At Blackdot we know how powerful information from the Internet can be when combined with an organisation’s own data. This integration is a revolutionary solution for organisations already using Relativity for e-discovery because it allows them to manage existing information and find new information all in one place.”

Blackdot Solutions’ Videris is now is now part of the Relativity Ecosystem, which includes applications and integrations built by Relativity developer partners.

“We’re excited to welcome Blackdot Solutions as a developer partner,” said Perry Marchant, vice president of engineering at kCura. “Connecting Relativity and Videris makes investigations and finding the truth even more efficient for our customers. The analytics capabilities of Videris complement those of Relativity, enabling users to more quickly identify patterns and trends and take an investigative approach to connecting their own unstructured data with the vast amount of information available on the Internet.”
