Blackdot partners with Opoint to integrate global news data

Blackdot Solutions, a leading provider of advanced intelligence and investigations software, has announced its partnership with Opoint, the global media intelligence and news data company, to integrate structured news and adverse media intelligence into its Videris platform.

The partnership brings Opoint's global news dataset - covering over 250,000 news sources and producing 3.5 million articles daily - into Blackdot’s Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) platform.

The integration enhances investigators’ ability to conduct adverse media screening, enrich entity-level risk context, and strengthen investigative analysis through access to global, regional and local news sources, including coverage that may not be surfaced through international media outlets.

Videris is used by Financial Intelligence Units, law enforcement, financial services compliance teams and corporate risk professionals to support open-source intelligence investigations, including entity mapping, risk analysis, and structured reporting with full audit trails. The addition of Opoint’s news intelligence further enhances contextual visibility across individuals and organisations under investigation.

“Our partnership with Blackdot brings Opoint’s global news intelligence directly into investigative workflows within the Videris platform. With coverage spanning news sources worldwide, our dataset helps investigators access information and context that may not be visible through traditional news sources alone. Blackdot users can now build an even more complete picture of individuals and organisations, supporting more informed risk assessments and due diligence processes.” - Toby Cook, CSO, Opoint

The integration supports use cases including adverse media screening, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing investigations and enhanced due diligence processes, enabling investigators to more quickly and efficiently identify risk across global and regional media.

“The OSINT landscape is increasingly complex, and investigators need access to structured, authoritative data sources to work effectively. Integrating Opoint's global news intelligence into Videris strengthens our platform's capability to deliver investigative depth and entity context. This partnership reflects our commitment to helping customers across both the public and private sector access the information they need to work more efficiently in economic crime and compliance investigations.” - Stuart Clarke, CEO, Blackdot Solutions
