Senior Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover - Fixed Term)
📍 Location: Cambridge, UK
Hybrid - you must be prepared to come into our Cambridge office at least 2 days per week, and when requested.
You must also be willing to travel to industry events as required (generally a few times a year).

About the role
This is a fixed-term maternity cover position for approx. 11 months (February 2025 – January 2026). Part time (minimum 3 days a week) or full time a possibility.
As Senior Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing, reporting on and revising Blackdot’s exciting cross-sector marketing strategy to drive revenue growth.
You’ll work closely with our Chief Commercial Officer and Marketing Coordinator, as well as the wider Commercial team, to ensure we reach KPIs for revenue and lead generation. You’ll also collaborate with the Product and Customer Success teams to advertise new product features and target growth opportunities within our existing customer base.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B software marketing, ideally in an OSINT or investigations and intelligence context. As part of a small but fast-growing team, you’ll gain experience working alongside senior colleagues and industry experts, with plenty of opportunity to implement new ideas and shape future marketing tactics.
Responsibilities
You will:
- Ensure the effective execution of Blackdot’s account-based marketing strategy with support from the CCO and Marketing Coordinator, assessing results and adapting as required throughout the year.
- Plan and create a wide range of targeted content, including blogs and thought leadership, webinars, and case studies.
- Manage relationships with and feed back on output from external PR and marketing agencies, ensuring good return on investment.
- Direct event participation from start to finish, including managing admin and logistics, working with sales representatives to plan and execute strategy, and overseeing event follow-up.
- Work with the Product Team to communicate new features to customers and prospects.
- Oversee ongoing email campaigns, paid ads and social media activity, as well as monitoring website traffic and conversions and making necessary changes.
- Optimise the effectiveness of the HubSpot CRM system, working with the wider GTM and Operations teams.
About you
You will be used to co-ordinating strategy and assessing performance across a wide range of marketing disciplines. With excellent organisational skills, you can balance multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality output across the board. You have a data-driven mindset, and are comfortable reporting results and suggesting revisions to the strategy to senior stakeholders.
You will have:
- Several years’ experience in a broad B2B technology marketing role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on writing professional, clear and accurate copy.
- Good knowledge of CRM systems, ideally HubSpot.
- Experience managing company presence and maximising ROI at industry events.
- Experience managing all aspects digital marketing, including website, paid advertising and social media.
