Senior OSINT Investigations Consultant
📍 Location: Cambridge, UK
This is a hybrid role. You must be prepared to come into our Cambridge office a minimum of two days a week, and when requested.
Travel to customer sites in UK, Europe and worldwide will be expected. You must have the right to work in the UK.

About the role
The Senior OSINT Investigations Consultant is a key role within our commercial team. The role requires a recent background in conducting complex OSINT investigations and involves staying abreast of emerging technologies, OSINT trends and investigative techniques. You will grow Blackdot’s position as a thought leader within the wider OSINT community, supporting marketing activity, events, and community engagements, sales efforts, and also providing guidance and input to the product roadmap. The Senior OSINT Investigations Consultant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, providing expertise on OSINT sources, investigative use cases, competitive and market intelligence, and the ethical use of OSINT.
Responsibilities
As a subject matter expert on the Commercial team you will play a critical role in supporting our sales and marketing efforts, and the positioning of our software Videris, contributing to strategic decision-making in in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting effective sales pitches and partner enablement activities by leveraging Videris to solve clients’ investigative challenges, as well as building and delivering effective product demonstrations of the platform.
- Conducting OSINT investigations using client-provided examples as part of pre-sales workshops or training scenarios
- Providing thought leadership and best practice advice on how to improve investigations with the use of OSINT and the application of Videris’s capabilities.
- Gathering intelligence on competitors, market trends, and emerging technologies in the software industry. Use this to provide insights that will inform product development and help the sales team to tailor their approach.
- Presenting at relevant industry events, including webinars and existing community engagements. Providing input into other marketing campaigns and activities.
- Staying informed about legal and regulatory requirements related to OSINT and ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
- Conducting internal training sessions to raise awareness about OSINT use cases and investigative workflows.
- Supporting the Customer Success team by providing workflow and best practice training to clients to maximise usage and efficiency.
About you
We like working with people who can communicate their ideas well and bring their team along with them; no idea is a bad idea. You will be expert at what you do, but keen to experience new ideas and to learn further. This position is one of our more senior roles and has a strong technical component requiring:
- A minimum 5 years’ OSINT investigations experience
- Expertise leveraging OSINT techniques and tools to conduct complex investigations, ideally including financial or economic crime use cases
- Preferably, experience working in or with both the private and public sector
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and proven public speaking ability.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, a deep understanding of the OSINT market, ideally including the use of other investigations tools, and the ability to stay abreast of evolving OSINT landscapes.
- Strong understanding of both law enforcement and financial services use cases for OSINT investigations beneficial.
- Experience in delivering training beneficial.

The application process will consist of an initial screening call, followed by an interview with our CCO and up to 2 other senior stakeholders in either the Product or Customer Success teams (usually in one interview).
