Modern Slavery Statement

Blackdot Solutions Ltd has taken steps to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or in any part of our business.

In accordance with Section 54, Part 6 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the Act), this statement sets out the steps that Blackdot Solutions has taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or in any part of our business. This statement was approved by Blackdot Solutions Executive Team on 3rd May 2022.

Organisational Structure

Blackdot Solutions is a software company based in Cambridge, UK. We employ highly educated professionals who deliver software to organisations which comply with our company ethics policy. As such, we consider the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking in our company to be low.

Supply Chain

Blackdot Solutions takes a zero tolerance stance towards human trafficking and modern slavery in any part in our supply chain. We work with a very limited number of suppliers, of which the majority provide software services and all of which are located in developed markets.

Modern Slavery Policy

As a small business, we benefit from open and honest lines of communication between all members of staff, at all levels. Any concerns are taken seriously and investigated on a case-by case basis.

Risk Assessment and Due Diligence

Blackdot Solutions’ suppliers are located in very low risk areas for forced labour. We also note that the software industry as a whole represents amongst the lowest risk industries for modern slavery. However, as an organisation that specialises in investigations-related software, we are wellpositioned to conduct in-depth due diligence on any future suppliers who may present a risk.

Policy Enforcement

If we become aware of a supplier engaging in practices we deem to be unethical, we will immediately cease to engage with this supplier.

Training

All relevant UK staff have been briefed on the provisions of the Act, and our obligations and compliance measures, and we will continue annual updates as we develop our measures and our supply chain. These efforts are reviewed by Blackdot Solutions Ltd. annually and updated publicly. Signed: Adam de Courcy Ling, Chairman, Blackdot Solutions Ltd.
