We’re delighted to announce a partnership with OpenSanctions. OpenSanctions brings together global datasets including sanctions lists, databases of politically exposed persons, and other information about persons in the public interest.

The Videris integration with OpenSanctions provides all Videris customers with access to this international database of persons and companies of political, criminal, or economic interest. Users of Videris can now

  • Save time spent switching between platforms to access vital data by easily searching OpenSanctions alongside other sources
  • Improve their understanding of the context behind a sanctioned entity by combining findings from OpenSanctions data with corporate registry, adverse news or social media data.
  • Gain new insights into immediate and indirect network risks by applying Videris’ advanced analytical and visualisation tools to OpenSanctions data

‘The partnership with OpenSanctions supports our mission of providing a single pane of glass to investigators,’ says Head of Product Stuart Clarke, ‘and therefore enables our customers to better contextualise risk by leveraging the huge repository of persons and companies of political, criminal, or economic interest that OpenSanctions provides.”

Friedrich Lindenberg, Founder of OpenSanctions, agrees. ‘Videris provides a unique way for investigators and analysts to find and trace connections and manage their case-related knowledge,’ he says. ‘We’re excited to see that OpenSanctions is now at the fingertips of Videris’ users and look forward to working with Blackdot to provide investigators with vital open source intelligence. Our goal is collective visibility of the key actors and connections in the world of dark money and kleptocracy.’

Videris customers will be able to use OpenSanctions to identify risk in use cases ranging from due diligence to anti-financial crime. Investigators can quickly gain a full understanding of the risks associated with an entity, allowing them to make better and more timely decisions.
